Hi there and welcome to Shop Around The Fleas!

Now first off I think I should explain what a flea market is, because if you’ve never been to one you might not understand what we’re about. A flea market is also known as a street market, which may help some people understand the principle. And if you’ve never visited one then you need to find one and visit as soon as possible, even if it means flying halfway around the world!

A flea market is similar to a craft market, except that you don’t only have people making their own products and selling them. Some flea markets are combined with farmers markets and also with every dime style store you’ve ever seen as well as those small boutique type stores that are commonly found in small local shopping centres.

Imagine an online retail network like Amazon in an offline setting. You’ll find stalls selling shoes from Italy, next to a tiny toy store, across from an electronics store, with a neighbour selling fashion jewellery, behind someone selling clothing from local manufacturers. You’ll even find aquariums and people selling samurai swords! And because there is probably at least three other guys selling the exact same thing at that market, you’ll probably get amazing prices you would never find anywhere else.

In short, if there is anything you’re looking for and you don’t want to spend too much money on it then a flea market is one of the best places to go. Now loving flea market shopping like I do means that I have learned a lot about smart shopping, managing my finances, flea markets in general, and ironically also about healthy eating and living! So Shop Around The Fleas is where I’ll be sharing everything that I’ve learned from my trips to various offline flea markets and to their online counterparts.

I’ve made flea markets my business and I’m excited to share everything I’ve discovered with my readers. So I hope you enjoy what I have found and what I have to say, and if you have any comments, suggestions, tips or questions then please don’t hesitate to contact me. Better yet, if you really like what I have to say then please share my posts and my site with your social networks!
